More prep for Vegas.   Spent the night wiring up both cars and getting them ready to run.  Unfortunately I found one of the speed controllers (ESC) in the cars failed.   These are AC induction speed controllers that use hall sensors in the motors to know the exact position of the rotor at any given time.  The hall drivers in the ESC must have burned out as it no longer would read any phase.

It had a good run, that bit lasted from late 2009 till today.  (it actually probably died a while ago but I never noticed as the controllers can fall back into a safe mode that is a bit less performance.)

The other car did get set up fully, and was run about 4 full packs tonight getting it dialed in, so far so good on that car.   Still needs a bit more pace but I’ll get there in the next week.
